My Hometown Bromley
The birthplace of H G Wells, Allders department store
in Bromley High Street. When H G Wells was born
it was a drapers shop.
The H G Wells mural in Market Square. It depicts scenes
from his novels including "The War of the Worlds" and also
shows Market Square as it was during the early part
of the 20th century. It has been completely rebuilt.
Bromley has had several famous residents including David Bowie and Siouxie Sioux from Siouxie and the Banshees.
The French Market came to Bromley on August Bank Holiday weekend.
